Full description

The waterfalls of Lepida are considered to be among the most beautiful but also unknown natural monuments of Parnonas.

The rocks around the falls are ash colored and the water falls with a particular force. The area smells of oregano, and sage, while the small plane trees on the stones make up a unique natural landscape. The wonderful waterfalls of Lepida are located in the homonymous gorge of the Parnonas mountain.

The big waterfall has a height of 70m and the smaller one 45m. The hike starts from a traditional village, hidden in the heart of Mount Parnonas, at an altitude of 450m rich in springs with running water and vegetation.

The duration of the hike will be around 5 hours which equates to about 4km (2.5mi) with a minor increase in elevation throughout. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, but there will be breaks incorporated into the hike with some healthy local snacks provided to recharge.

We will move inside the gorge and follow the water until we meet both waterfalls. We will return from a different path.
