Experience the thrilling via ferrata activity in Crete. This exhilarating trip is suitable for individuals with some rock climbing experience. With the aid of a wire and steps along most sections, the climbing is relatively easy. However, certain parts can be exposed, making previous climbing experience recommended but not mandatory.

Rock climbers of all levels will be captivated by the route, offering breathtaking views of the Lybean Sea from the heart of the Asterousia Mountains. Starting near Kapetaniana village at an altitude of 800 meters, this is a must-do adventure for those seeking to explore the authentic face of Crete.

About via ferrata:

A modern via ferrata incorporates a steel cable fixed to the rock, allowing climbers to secure themselves and limit falls. Additional climbing aids such as iron rungs, pegs, and carved steps are provided, making otherwise challenging routes accessible without the need for extensive climbing equipment or unprotected scrambling.

Via ferratas provide an opportunity for less experienced climbers to enjoy breathtaking positions and conquer difficult peaks that were previously accessible only to seasoned mountaineers. We provide all the necessary equipment; you only need to bring your shoes and a small rucksack.

What to Bring

• You will need to pack your lunch.

• 1.5lt Water ,Sunglasses, Hat, Sunscreen, along with a good hiking shoe or trail running shoes.

• Normal sport shoes can also be used but not recommended as the rock is quiet sharp on some places and there is a big change to make a hole on them!
