Via Ferrata is a unique activity that combines elements of climbing with an extreme character, yet it does not require prior experience. While an average level of fitness is necessary, it is essential to have no fear of heights.
Located next to Konitsa, the Via Ferrata takes place along the scenic river Aoos. Our journey begins at the historic Konitsa old bridge, where we hike parallel to the river and encounter two remarkable bridges. The first bridge is a small one in Gravos, measuring 6-7 meters in length, while the second is the impressive Aoo’s Tibetan bridge, spanning 17 meters in length and towering 35 meters above the ground!
To access the trail, we embark on a pleasant 45-minute hike along a picturesque route. As we progress, we encounter captivating climbs on steel ladders and a vertical rock face, offering breathtaking views from a height of 60-70 meters above the water. During the middle of the route, we encounter sections with scenic landscapes ideal for hiking, ultimately culminating at the historic bridge of Konitsa.
Throughout the journey, we will encounter notable landmarks including the two-arched Konitsa bridge and the awe-inspiring Aoos gorge.
